United Way of Rutland County is seaching for community members to serve as volunteers in the annual allocations process. Becoming an allocations volunteer is a great opportunity to participate in a process of deciding which health and human service agencies applying for funding will become member agencies of United Way. Through this process, you will help decide where contributions to United Way will have the greatest impact in helping our community.

As an allocation volunteer, you will be working in an organized, team oriented environment with other volunteers committed to making a difference in our community. This is not only a rewarding experience, but also a great way to help our community and learn about the programs and services available in Rutland County. The 33 agencies supported by United Way in 2007 responded to over 31,000 requests for assistance.

A commitment of 10-15 hours from mid April through May will be required of all volunteers. If interested, please contact the United Way of Rutland County at 773-7477.
