United Way of Rutland County, the Southwestern Vermont Council on Aging, and Project vision have partnered together to hold a donor drive for our area food shelves! The PB&J Summer Slam will begin on August 1st and will run for the entire month (please disregard the end date noted within this event page as FB will not let an event last longer than 14 days). This wonderful event will help all of our area food shelves to purchase items they need to restock their shelves during this important time of year when kids are going back to school. This year, it's even more critical to support our area food shelves, as more and more of our community members are accessing these organizations than ever before (due to the pandemic).
The PB&J Summer Slam is designed to be a competition for local businesses, organizations, and community members! Whatever business, organization or individual raises the most funds will be crowned the first annual Summer Slam Champion within Rutland County and will have bragging rights going forward - who doesn't want that?!
If you, your business, or your organization would like to get involved in this fun competition with a cause, please reach out to Dan Warnecke (email@example.com) or Anna White (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information!
